 | Description: Wonderful mid to late 19th century French Morbier clock, by E. Leclerc of the village of Vire. The piece, with seemingly newer works, is made of wonderful tole painted tin, with ornate floral designs. The face is enameled, with a tin housing for the works. Two eight pound weights power the piece. A wonderful wall clock, with a Provencal sensibility. Condition: Ran when tested, but not checked for accuracy. Please preview for the best sense of the piece. Please note that the piece may need to be adjusted by the winning bidder after moving, as any shifting to the delicate works can cause minor misalignments in the gears. The case itself is good for age, with a few minor splits in the metal, some paint loss, etc. Size: Approximately 55"l Shipping Availability: Request a quote for professional packaging and shipping
