 | Description: Original pastel and charcoal on paper, an early to mid 20th century impressionist landscape, by listed artist and famed Rookwood Pottery designer and decorator William Purcell McDonald (Ohio, 1863 - 1931), a lovely scene with bound corn stalks in the fore, rolling purple and green hills, a small town in the distance, titled "#38 Cornstalks." The piece is not signed, but bears a notarized letter from McDonald's grand daughter authenticating the piece. Mounted in a nice walnut tone poplar frame with matting.
