 | Description: Very nice early to mid 19th century early American fall front desk in tiger maple and mahogany, with half turned front legs, nicely turned feet, a nice wide drop front panel with matched veneer and pull-out supports. This piece is made with dovetailed construction to the top and the drawers. Inside is a simple cubby design with small center cupboard accented with an ivory diamond shaped escutcheon and drawers that have small brass knob pulls. Below the desk are two drawers with beautiful tiger maple drawer fronts and wood button pulls. Condition: Good for age - front panel has a repair to the mahogany veneer that is about 2 1/2"w x 1 3/4"h, the bottom left edge of the base has small pieces of maple veneer missing and the solid panel sides of the piece each have splits to the wood and a couple small repairs.
