 | Description: Original inkwash and pen sketch executed by well listed Cincinnati, Ohio / Northern Kentucky artist Frank Duveneck (1848-1919), accomplished on thin wove paper, a study of a seascape, in Venice, circa 1882. Duveneck's "FD" monogram signature in the lower left. Mounted in a Giltwood frame with matting. Archival mounting. Also included is the carved Victorian frame, the original mounting, with "Frank Duveneck" in script.
Condition: The sketch paper is quite brittle with some edge chipping, a few tears repaired with archival tape. The frame has some minor wear
