Marked on verso of center medallion. Contains a total of 12 Genuine Black Bear Claws, set in silver, with turquoise nugget accent stones.

5 T_5.JPGDescription: Indian Wars Era Winchester Lever Action Rifle, model 1873. Serial Number 293255B (dates this model to 1889 - the Wounded Knee massacre occurred on December 29, 1890). Marked 32 WCF on top of barrel (.32 caliber?). Engraving on barrel reads " Winchester's Repeating Arms, New Haven, Conn. USA - King's Improvement Patented March 29 1866, October 16, 1860." Retains all original parts. Appears to be in full working order.
Condition: Very Good for age, with minor, age consistent wear, specifically to the stock. It appears some minor repair work was attempted at barrel end, resulting in some minor wear. Will need to be cleaned.

Has more recently had Deer Claws, and Abalone Disc and 18th Century White Heart Bead added. Has slight tooled mark, a figural big horn sheep, either the original maker's mark or a modern restorer's mark. Also features fringe detail, triangular cut out band patterns and red wool accents. When consigned to EBTH, originally had the Winchester rifle of lot 5 inside.
Condition: Good for age, has s number of holes and a number of repairs. Consistent with age and use. Will need to be cleaned, has a heavy odor.

The document, issued in thanks for the 100 days of Volunteer service for soldiers from Indiana, Illinois, Iowa and Wisconsin in General Sherman's campaign in Georgia was issued on December 15th 1864, and bears facsimile signatures of both the President Abraham Lincoln and of Edwin M Stanton, Secretary of War. The piece is printed upon thick wove paper and bears the National Crest.
Condition: Very Good for age, has some deep creases and minor yellowing. Is protected within a frame.

Composed of printed wool, the piece retains its original rope and retains the makers name. Also includes US Military certificates ensuring the legal status of this trophy of war, mailed back to the US in 1945. This was the national war ensign or flag of the Third Reich and used by the land forces of Nazi Germany. It was introduced on November 7, 1935 on the same day that the universal national draft was begun in Germany.

The warrior is a multi media construction, with Silver Neck Gorget, Loin Cloth and Arm Bands, a Navajo Silver, Turquoise and Jasper Chip Pendant adorns his hair. The warrior carries a Spear with Bone Tip, a Bone Handled Knife and a Rawhide shield painted with a Raven motif. He wear leather trousers as well. The top of the cane is fully carved and painted as well. A beautiful folk art piece.
Condition: Good overall, needs to be cleaned and the warriors shield has fallen off of his arm (leather cording dried).

Partially legible mark on the barrel seems to read "GW" surrounded with circles. The strike plate is heavily engraved with image of birds and floral swags. Brass Trigger and Trigger guard. Features a Hand Carved Walnut Stock and Frame as well. All of its parts are hand cast or forged.
Condition: Good overall, has heavy age appropriate wear, some rust. Will need a thorough cleaning.

The piece is the second state of the etching, circa 1900, of 55 pieces printed on Japan paper, 1000 printed on vellum. The work, from Renoir's "Graphic Work," is entitled "Le Fleuve Scamandre" (The Scamandre River) and is printed on Vellum. Renoir's facsimile signature is stamped in the lower right corner. The piece, acquired from Galerie Maximillian includes the certificate of Authenticity, as well as a factual sheet regarding Renoir's Graphic Work. The piece is gallery mounted and framed.
