 | Description: Mumei Katana, of a regal 19th century setting, and a circa 1700 Bizen blade. This beautiful piece features an orange and gold lacquered saya, with mon decoration and bronze washed steel fittings (Ishi-dzuki, tawara-byo, seme, Shiba-biki, ashi and Koiguchi), a matching tsuba,fuchi and Kashira, the tsuka is ray skin, with floral, kamon and figural menuki. The tama, at the end of the silk cords are bronze. The circa 1700 Bizen blade is unmarked. A copy of Sotheby's appraisal and written description is available upon request. Condition: Some wear on the blade, but no major flaws, minor wear throughout, a little bit of loss of lacquer on the saya, near the tsuka end, but good for age overall.
