 | Description: Kunisada Katana, of a brown lacquered early 20th century saya, with ray skin and silk wrapped tsuka, with bronze floral menuki. The blade is marked "August 1669, Province Idzumi Kwambum Sehsu Shinkai Kuni Sada," but has been judges a false signature. The saya also features bronze mounts (Ishi-dzuki, Shiba-biki and single ashi. The fuchi features a button release. Please note that EBTH was unable to remove the blade from the tsuka, we are reliant upon written appraisals as authentication. A copy of Sotheby's appraisal will be available by request. Condition: Good overall, the blade is very good, there is some wear on the saya and tsuka, some separation of the koiguchi from the saya.
