EBTH is proud to present the personal property sale of Walter and Barbara Kautz. Barbara Kautz is a recognized expert in the ancient art of batik. She has conducted workshops in Bay View, Michigan and taught at the Baker Hunt Foundation in Covington. Many of Barbara’s batik works of art are of a religious theme and are displayed in churches all over Cincinnati. This sale includes a variety of her batik artwork as well as many of her paintings and enamel work. Newstedt-Loring Andrews is Cincinnati’s oldest established business, operating since 1805. Marjorie Hall Wagner was married to Edward Wagner of the Wagner Beverage Company, which was established in 1868 as the W.T. Wagner Sons Company, forerunner of Vernor's Ginger Ale and distributor of Orange Crush. Highlights of this sale feature a beautiful selection of sterling silver, including an International Sterling “Kenilworth” tea set. The sale also includes unique custom designed one-of-kind fine jewelry, hand painted china, a variety of crystal, including Waterford and Lalique. There are several pieces of original artwork by Cincinnati artist Caroline Williams. Caroline Williams granted Newstedt-Loring Andrews exclusive rights to use this artwork on the well known series of Wedgwood collector plates.
